Infrastructure Maintenance Hub

The temperature of the road itself — and of every switch — forecast hour by hour at tens-of-metres resolution. Ice-risk alarms to dispatch, shift plans for the crews.

Road Surface Intelligence dashboard: colour-coded road network map with per-segment surface temperature, ice risk, weekly maintenance plan and 24-hour forecast timeline.

What it does

From surface physics to shift plans

A hyperlocal model of your exact network — bridges, cuttings and cold spots included — turned into alarms, forecasts and maintenance plans.

Road-surface temperatures

Per section and per hour, including temperatures in different pavement layers.

Every section modelled

Detailed geography and 3D orography — bridge decks freeze first, and the model knows it.

Ice & snow alarms

Dispatch gets SMS or e-mail hours before the surface freezes.

Maintenance planner

Salting windows, sections at risk and crews to dispatch — tonight’s plan on one screen.

Honest probabilities

Distributions from 40+ models, so you choose the risk level you plan on.

Rail switches too

Switch-temperature forecasts — heat only the switches and hours that need it.

How it works

From your network map to tonight’s plan

STEP 01

Map your network

Send us the sections, switches and structures you maintain — bridges and cold spots flagged.

STEP 02

We model every section

40+ blended models, our extended station network and radar, refreshed every 15 minutes as weather develops.

STEP 03

Crews get the plan

Alarms to dispatch, hour-by-hour forecasts to the dashboard, exports to your systems.

Two ways to run it

Dashboard for dispatch, feeds for your systems

Dispatcher dashboard

For winter-maintenance teams

Sections, risks and salting windows on a map — built with road authorities.

  • Tonight’s plan: sections, windows, crews
  • Hour-by-hour surface temperatures per section
  • PDF/CSV exports for records

API & feeds

For maintenance systems

JSON feeds and alarm webhooks straight into the tools you already run.

  • Per-section forecast endpoints
  • Alarm webhooks with lead times
  • Formats matched to your systems

Questions we get

Before your dispatchers ask

How is this better than a single model like Aladin?

No single model is best everywhere. We blend 40+ of them and correct against live stations, which measurably beats any single output — ask for the comparison on your sections.

Does it handle bridges and shaded cuttings?

Yes — that’s the point of the detailed geography. Structures that freeze earlier are modelled and flagged separately.

What about summer?

The same model covers heat stress on surfaces and scheduling windows for roadworks — winter and summer regimes in one tool.

How long does deployment take?

A pilot district typically runs within weeks: you send the network, we return live forecasts and alarms for the season.

One engine, many tools

Let’s model one of your districts.

Send us a district or a line — we’ll run our surface model on your sections and compare it with what you use today, number by number.
